Beef Stroganoff Directions
- In a large pot heat oil and saute onion until slightly browned (5-6 minutes)
- Add garlic and cook until fragrent
- Start rice or noodles
- Add mushrooms, cook until they are starting to shrink and give up their juices, while that is cooking in a small pot make a rue with the butter and flour, cook until blond.
- In a large measuring cup mix the chicken stock and coconut milk.
- When the rue is blond and add the tomato paste, mix well add the brown sugar and beef cube, add enough chicken/milk mix to get everything combined mix well then add the beef, once warm add the remaining half of the chicken/milk mix.
- Reduce the heat on the rue and pour the second half of the chicken/milk mix into the rue slowly, stiring quickly until well mixed and smooth, Once your mix is combined at to the pot and stir it in well.
- Add the fish sauce, simmer uncovered for 8-10 minutes stiring frequently.
- Serve over noodles, mashed potatoes, rice, a sandle...
