Ingredients

3 lbs fresh mussels
2-3 hot Italian sausages
2-3 large tomatoes
3/4 cup Dry Sherry
1-2 onions
juice of 1 lemon
2 garlic cloves - chopped
1/2 tsp salt

Mussels and Italian Sausage Directions

  1. In a large pan, quickly cook sausage. Add onion, tomato salt and garlic and cook for 3-4 minutes.
  2. Add 1/2 of the Sherry and lemon juice and simmer for another 2 minutes.
  3. Toss in well rinsed Mussels and the rest of the Sherry. Cover and steam for 5-10 minutes.
  4. Serve in a large bowl.
  5.  Best served with Bread and a salad.
